PHASE 2: SPIRITUAL BATTLE - OBEYING GOD GIVES ME POWER & PROTECTION
Phase 2 defines our battle, our enemy & clearly tells us that it's of a spiritual nature & never with other people. Fighting & arguing with people who don't know Jesus is much like a good soldier going into a place he was sent to help & being so confused that he attacks the people he was meant to free. If we didn't have God's word to warn us in advance, we could easily get confused, especially when people are mistreating us, but we know who wrote the book on confusion & we're not reading that book. That's not our style, we have a much better book to marvel in and we are following it to the letter. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, for we wrestle not against flesh & blood (other people), but against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Bible is full of Godly people who were hated by the majority & falsely accused. Noah, David, Daniel, Joseph, & Elijah are just a few who were mocked, scorned & ridiculed because of their belief in God. Jesus told us that we would also be treated in this same unfair way, John 15:18-21. The reason the world doesn’t like us is because they don’t know Christ. Just as God uses us to do his work, satan also uses people & most of the time the people the enemy uses aren’t even aware that they are being used. The forces controlling their lives recognize God’s Holy Spirit inside of us & satan tries to destroy us through them. We don’t have to worry about this though; God didn’t leave us powerless. The victory has already been secured for us through Christ. In fact, it’s awesome when people come against us while we are being obedient to God. This means the enemy considers us a powerful threat. Not only that, every time we are under attack, it is an opportunity to magnify God so others may also come to know him. These are the times when we can experience God’s miraculous power, protection & blessings. Not only are we able to experience God at work in our lives but people who don’t know Jesus are able to witness God’s love, kindness, grace, power, protection & blessings. Just imagine what would have happened if Noah fought back in the same manner when he was being mocked & ridiculed. He would have never had time to build the ark. The battle isn’t against other people. The Bible tells us it is a SPIRITUAL BATTLE, Ephesians 6:12.
